Join us for an evening with Vahe Keushguerian, one of the world’s most intriguing winemakers and recent subject of the documentary SOMM: Cup of Salvation. Cuyama Buckhorn’s Chef Hugo Vera will present a six-course dinner paired with Keushguerian’s family-produced wines. These exceptional Armenian wines feature revitalized grape varieties from the world’s oldest winemaking tradition, spanning over 10,000 years, seamlessly blending ancient heritage with modern innovation.
Guests will also have the rare opportunity to taste the first Iranian wine produced in fifty years. Keushguerian smuggled indigenous grape varieties out of Iran, where winemaking has been prohibited since 1979, and re-established them in Armenia to create Molana Winery—an embodiment of Iranian winemaking in exile.
In celebration of this unique collaboration between Cuyama Buckhorn and Keushguerian, Chef Vera’s menu will complement the winemaker’s remarkable story with distinctive Cuyama flavors and locally-sourced ingredients.
