Our kuyam (a Chumash word meaning “a place to rest together”) is a short drive from Santa Barbara or Los Angeles, yet feels entirely new. Our serene Hidden Valley is the perfect place to disconnect and get out of the normal office routine.

"The Buckhorn is well laid out for work retreats (we were 16 people) with all kinds of facilities, services and opportunities to relax and play (e.g. big pool, bocce ball, hot tub, outdoor movies, fire pits). The location is ideal for keeping a group together because there are no bars or restaurants nearby to draw people away. That said, during the day there are sustainable farms, wineries, horse ranches etc. that offer tours and activities. There are also multiple hikes available and the scenery in the area is beautiful. Service is gracious and professional."
"I led an executive retreat at the Cuyama Buckhorn and cannot say enough about the place. We were 15 CEOs and everyone was blown away by the facilities, the service and the food. The grounds and rooms are clean and sufficiently bougie for all tastes. The weather was chilly at night, warm during the day and always clear and sunny. There is so much to do like sit on the lawn together under a giant tree, play bocce ball and pool, swim, jacuzzi, sauna, etc. Then there's the amazing authentic bar with fabulous cocktails and the cafeteria that serves a farm to table food and meats that are grilled and smoked on the property. So all in all, a great place for a group and for families to gather for fun with the kids. And it's only 2+ hrs from L.A. depending on where you start. Go check it out for sure."
